Mothers Day Weekend!

My first mothers day! It was just absolutely wonderful!!! Grandma Karla (Bennett's Grandma that is, my Mother in Law :) came into town for the weekend, Friday to Monday morning! Brad picked G'ma up on friday afternoon from the airport and then went to get Bennett from daycare. It was nice to have G'ma visit Bennett's daycare, though I think with the tears of joy that she was shedding once she saw Bennett I'm not so sure she actually saw the Daycare ;) G'ma and Brad and Bennett went out to lunch and G'ma caught on some much needed rest from the trip here and then I came home from school around 5pm. We were going to go to dinner at the new Matchbox Vintage Pizza place in Rockville but there was a 1 hour and 45 minute wait!!! holy smokes! So we went to Cheesecake Factory instead, as always... SUPER SUPER YUMMY! Bennett is very good when we're out and about, he's very content playing with his toys and looking around at what is going on. He got a little tired towards the end of dinner but fought sleep until we were in the car and then he knocked right out. We all got a nice piece of cheesecake to take home :-)

Saturday morning was nice, we hung out not doing much of anything. It was a really nice sunny day :) Made breakfast for mom and then helped a friend move in just down the street. We had a softball game that afternoon and we finally won both games! YAY!!! G'ma came and hung out with Bennett while we were playing and big surprise, Bennett slept mostly the whole time that we were outside (he usually does when he's out in the fresh air). LuLu even came along too.

Sunday was Mothers Day and how wonderful it was. Brad got up with Bennett in the morning and then brought me a present in bed, 4 new shirts! :) We got G'ma a baby book with pictures of Bennett in it and she loved it.  Bennett was dedicated at church that morning along with 4 other infants boys and of course I cried and Bennett managed to puke on Brad while we were standing on stage in front of the church, hahaha, not too bad, but enough to notice. We dedicated Bennett to the Lord, declaring that we will do our best to raise him in the way of Christ. We're very excited about our family and our future :) After church we went to lunch at Guapo's (my favorite mexican resturant) had my favorite food, steak fajatias and even had a margarita! (1st one in over a year) so yummy :) Though I'm not nursing Bennett anymore i'd gladly give up anything to feed my baby, I just love him so much and want him to be as healthy as possible. :) Speaking of being healthy Bennett had his 4 month check up today...

A whopping 17 pounds 13.1 ounces (that's the 85 percentile) and 27 inches long (that's the 89th percentile!) LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE HAVE A VERY LARGE BABY ON OUR HANDS HERE!! but his head is just in the 29th percentile, the Dr then proceeded to look at Brad and say, "well you have a smaller sized head so I'm sure that he's developing just fine." I laughed on the inside. Everything with Bennett's health is just fine, growing and eating and feeling great! He did have to get his second set of immunizations today and I didn't watch last time (at his 2 month checkup) and now I know why, Bennett turned so red so fast! it was sad to watch, but then I got to pick him up and he was just fine a few minutes later, my sweet sweet baby.

Mom and I after church on Mothers Day
it was Mom's 32nd mothers day and my 1st!!
