BennettsBeginnings: 9 weeks & 2 days old

I'm not sure where to begin, so much has happened in the last month that I'm not sure where to start and I don't think that I'm going to remember it all, so I hope that the pictures that I have will help me remember, if not they are still great to look at!

Let's see, let's see.... well it looks like i have a TON of pictures since last time so there may be more pictures than words (but who wants to listen to me ramble anyways...)

Jan 21, 2011 (21 days old) Bath time!

After I'm all clean my hair stands straight up!

Hey Look! My mom finally got a bath too!!! hahaha

Bennett rather enjoys his baths (only one time was he screaming, but he made it through :) We have to make sure to clean between his toes and fingers since that's where everything seems to collect! SO MUCH TOE LINT... hahaha we'll have to capture that on film someday.

Our friends from church the Pulls stopped by with a wonderful meal for us (yummy chili, salad and tortilla chips) and our little friend X (her first name starts with an X) got to hold Bennett. She is the oldest of 4 so she had enough experience that we weren't nervous for her to hold him. She held him for less than a minute before she passed him back to her mom, who said, "this is exactly why we have so many kids." Meaning she just loves babies! :)

January 23rd 2011 LOOK I FOUND MY THUMB!

I just love my little baby boy!

This was the day that Bennett discovered his thumb, it also happened to be the last day that he discovered it as well. But that's okay, he may not be a thumb sucker, I'm not sure if I was or not... does anyone know if Brad was?

Starting to take to my swing. A few min here and there :)

My winter hat from Grandma Beckman, I'll get used to it :)

This was also the 1st day that we got out of the house as a family... Mom, Dad, Baby and Dog :) we didn't go far we just walked around the block and Bennett slept the whole time in his stroller but it was nice to be out for a walk after a month! This blue knit (maybe crocheted ?) outfit is from my teacher Anna Kiss, it also has a matching hat. He's almost grown out of it now!

Grandma Karla and Unkie (yes Unkie) Adam came to visit on Superbowl weekend, it's always nice to have family in town, however we never manage to take any pictures of us all together, we're going to have to remedy this next time we have family in town. I'll just have to make sure that everyone knows that the Green Bay Packers won the Superbowl and Grandma and Unkie Adam were not pleased... hmmm... hahaha. It was a great time had by all, the best part was Adams ''secret recipie'' cheese dip, (not too secret really, Velveeta, hamburger and salsa) but never the less it was still good! As always Grandma helped out a lot and mom and dad got some much needed extra sleep. Adam refused to get his hair cut and LuLu liked to play with him a lot (though I'm convinced he doesn't like her much, hahaha)

Our new baby mobile!

We just went to "look" at cars that day, knowing that we were eventually going to have to pick something out because the two seater truck that we had wasn't going to cut it with the baby. Well that 'looking' turned into a new SUV that night in our driveway... when we got home we both just kind of looked at each other like... "ummm... i guess we have a new car now" It's super nice and reliable and we're really excited that we have it. Brad is still in denial about his love for minivans so we didn't get one this time ;) hahaha, It's my turn to pick out the next car (probably about the time that Bennett gets this one when he starts driving (let's not think about that now).
