Happy first birthday Bennett!!!!

Bennett's birthday party was GREAT!!! (&& if I'm allowed to say perfect on this side I heaven then... IT WAS PERFECT!) We sent out an Evite (an email invitation) about 3 weeks ago and wasn't sure how many people would be in town seeing as how it is new years eve and Christmas season and all that jazz; but we ha quite the turn out. At first there were only about 12 people rsvp'd and then with in two days of the big day we had 12 more RSVP!!! Then came about 3 more trips to the grocery store, and a call around for more crockpots! Andy & Sarah came to the rescue with a three in one crockpot and another small one plus ours so that we 5 CROCKPOTS IN THE KITCHEN!! Our next thought was 'oh crap we're going to blow a fuse' but everything was juuuuuust fine. Brad and I loaded up the crockpots the night before and them brad set an alarm to turn them on at 2 a.m. {such a sweetie, I don't even recall him getting out of bed} we made chicken (BBQ and one with Italian dressing) and beef (BBQ and Caribbean Jerk) so they cooked away while we slept peacefully... Bahaha, did I say peacefully?! I ment restlessly because Bennett has a fever and a runny nose, it was a terrible nights sleep and actually all day on the 30th he was feverish and not feeling well, we gave him baby fever med and prayed that he would feel better for his big day. Thankfully he took a great nap on his birthday from 9:15 to 11:15 and woke up a little warm so we just put a T-shirt on him and fed him some lunch. When the first guests arrived he still didn't have any pants on! Oops! Well Bennett had 24 friends come to celebrate with him. We enjoyed lunch and fellowship and then best of all presents and cake! {on a side note I couldn't find the icing that I bought to write on Bennett's cake, we looked and looked but couldn't find it so Bennett had just a blank chocolate cake with chocolate frosting} enjoy the pictures and if you have any to share please do!!
