Bennett's Achievements!

Today is April 21, 2011 and Bennett is only NINE DAYS away from being 4 months old! I can't believe how much he has grown and changed in just the past 2 months!!! Here are some of his achievements that Brad and I have noticed:

1. He rolling over 1/2 way on to his side! (note he likes to do this most when we change his diaper!)The 1st time that he did this I rolled him back on his back and didn't think anything of it, then I realized a few seconds after I stopped him that .. HE WAS TRYING TO ROLL OVER AND I STOPPED HIM! shoot!

2. Just in the past few weeks he is trying to hold his own bottle! When we hand it to him (or more like put his hands on it) he brings it towards his wide open hungry mouth and tries to eat! He just hasn't mastered tipping it up so he can actually get it in his mouth. When we grab the bottle to help him he lets go and is like, "okay, this is nice, you can hold it mom and dad." hahaha

3. Daycare is going great for Bennett! Every time that we pick him up (if he's not sleeping) he is laughing and playing with the ladies there. They are so good to him. :-)

4. We've put his pacifier on a string (so when we're driving it's easily found) and now he likes to grab on to the string and pull it out of his mouth! A few times we have seen him put it back in though!!! SUCH A BIG BOY!

5. He enjoys his time on his play mat, he lays on his back and looks up at his toys and his mirror, and he gets mad (like screaming mad) when he can't get the toys into his mouth!!! That's usually when he is done playing and wants to do something else.

6. Bennett can grab the toys that are on his bouncy chair (a bird and a monkey) and when he hits them the lights and music go off and that's very entertaining for him :) also allows us to be hands free to cook and clean.

7. He is smiling so much!!!! But as soon as the camera comes out all smiles are gone! We try and sneak the camera behind one of us and record or take pictures so he can't see that we're doing it and this works most of the time. I'll have to upload those very soon.

8. Bennett holds his head up very well when he ls laying on his tummy. I have the date that he first did this on my phone and will put that picture up soon too! Brad was at work and Bennett and I were at home and he was laying on the couch when all of a sudden he lifted his head right up! I frantically looked for the camera to capture it and was able to get it before he noticed! :)

9. He likes to be held up in the air over our heads and generally laughs a lot at this. His laugh isn't a continuous hahaha laugh, more of a few haha's and some grunting, he is good at grunting! :-)

10. Bennett used to fall asleep every time that we went for a walk, either in his stroller or in the backpack thing, but now he is staying awake when we go for walks. He wants to know what is going on and is looking around more! He also has his first pair of sunglasses! Picture to come :-)

I'm sure that their is more that I can't think of at the moment. But we do have family coming to visit soon! Grandma's and Grandpa's and even baby Journey is coming in may!!! :-)
